I am honored and delighted to be part of the upcoming panel discussion, "Navigating Office Politics, Leadership, Relationships and Influence in the Workplace." This initiative touches on a topic that always arises especially within work groups. As a psychologist, my interest is basically to help individuals and organizations understand the human side of workplace dynamics—how our thoughts, emotions, communication styles, and relationships influence the way we work together.
Too often, workplace challenges are viewed solely through the lens of policies, procedures, or performance. Yet behind every team, leader, and organization are people with unique personalities, motivations, values, and experiences. During this discussion, I will share psychological insights into building healthy professional relationships, developing influence through trust and credibility, managing conflict constructively, and fostering healthier workplace cultures where people feel valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their best. All with a unique challenge.
I would like to thank the organizers Toastmasters Internation Education Project and the moderator Ms. Jules for this invitation. I look forward to engaging in this important conversation and exploring practical strategies that can help create workplaces where both people and organizations can thrive.
